Title of Lecture:
Frequency Reuse in Resource Scheduling for Next-Generation Networks
Abstract: The most recent iteration of cellular network technology, known as 5G, or fifth-generation wireless technology, aims to outperform its predecessors in terms of data speeds, latency, capacity, and compatibility for a large number of connected devices. To serve more customers at once and provide data and voice services, every generation aims to increase speed and coverage. Our study attempts to enhance the coverage and distribution of resources. All of the known resource scheduling methods namely Proportional Fair (PF), Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (M-LWDF), Exponential Proportional Fairness (EXP-PF), Frame Level Scheduler (FLS), LOG_RULE, EXP_RULE, Maximum Throughput (MT), and Round Robin (RR) are executed to determine the optimal one. Following the comparison, any optimal scheduling technique can be selected as the base algorithm. Then, a new method is proposed that combines the chosen base algorithm and the frequency reuse technique. The primary goal of the proposed method is to give improved services to cell edge users. Because cell edge users constantly have trouble accessing resources. As a result, the combined suggested algorithm would improve both the fairness index and total system throughput in next-generation communication networks.
